12th Seoul International Extreme - Short Image & Film Festival

You can find out the characteristics of the 12th Seoul international Extreme Image & Film Festival through our opening films. Under the slogan "Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere", we've always chose films that can be a pioneer of a new field. This year, we've chosen three films that the festival produced and two films that are invited.
First of all, two films are produced through 'E-CUT for the Director', a special production support program of Seoul international Extreme Image & Film Festival. Actor Park Hosan, Hwang Bora and Moon Yukang participated with talent donation. Park Hosan starred in <Manhole Communication> by director Jang Jaewon, a story of a middle aged man who gets a breakthrough of his cluttered emotions through a special experience around a manhole. Hwang Bora and Moon Yukang starred in <The Greatest Poem> directed by Lim Junghoon, a film that shows the life of young generation through the poems on screendoors in the subway station. Another film is <Home> that's produced via 'Extreme-Short Film Academy in Yeongdeungpo'. This is a documentary that shows life and sorrow of ethnic Korean Chinese living in Daerim-dong. Two invited films are <Muslimah> by director Nur Wulandari from 'South-East Asia Focus: Minikino Film Week' and <Uzi> by director Dina Velikovskaya from 'Kids Film Academy in Yeongdeungpo'. <Muslimah> shows the life of women in Islamic culture around Islamic veil. <Uzi> is a new form of animation using 3D pen, that talks about family. We hope that our opening films about our daily life, relationship and communication can give you the opportunity to think about relationship and the meaning of it during this contactless life of pandemic.
