This year's Seoul Yeongdeungpo International Extreme-Short Image & Film Festival (SESIFF) uses its symbolic characters-'CHO', 'DAN', and 'PYON'-to reflect the spirit of challenge and perseverance. These characters represent the determination of filmmakers during difficult times.
In the poster, 'CHO' symbolizes unwavering hope with a light that shines through darkness, 'DAN' represents a steady gaze that faces reality, and 'PYON' embodies a voice that persists even in silence. Together, they capture the essence of filmmaking and the indomitable spirit of creators.
The trailer begins with the voice of a child confidently declaring "short films", symbolizing the resolve of future filmmakers. In black-and-white, the characters work quietly but passionately, representing the film industry&s strength through collaboration.
Both the poster and trailer aim to inspire courage and convey a message of resilience, reminding us that even in tough times, we can overcome challenges together.
